Lunchtime Webinar: R Statistical Software, 7/15/2016
Friday, July 15, 2016
12:00 PM – 1:00 pm
Obtaining a license for any of the major statistical analysis packages can be costly and most of
these packages offer limited user support. R is a free statistical analysis package that can be used
to analyze data for a variety of statistical needs ranging from basic descriptive statistics to
complex latent variable models. R also has a wide variety of functions for developing and
automating reports. The no-cost and functionality of R make it perfect for evaluators. However,
there is a slight learning curve. The purpose of this webinar is to help evaluators get a
rudimentary understanding of some of the R functionality.
Christopher R. Harper, Ph.D. has been working in evaluation for over ten years with extensive
experience in data analysis and visualization for state, local, and non-profit partners. In addition
to R, he has extensive experience analyzing data in SAS, SPSS, Mplus and Python.
