Pro Bono Evaluation with Decatur Cooperative Ministry- February 20 at 5:30 PM
AaEA has had a long-standing relationship with Decatur Cooperative Ministry, an ecumenical housing agency in downtown Decatur. DCM has just created a new strategic plan, and volunteers from AaEA will be working with them to create and implement a strategic evaluation plan. On February 20, Maureen Wilce will convene interested volunteers to describe the project and lay the foundation for working together and with DCM. We will start by thinking about the role of cultural competence in our evaluation activities. There are several new tools for assessing one’s own culture and cultural competence. We’ll consider their utility and begin to play with ideas about routine methods of honing our cultural stance as we approach any evaluation project.
If you’re interested in contributing in some fashion, we invite you to come see about the various opportunities. Some roles will require more or less time and more or less expertise. New evaluators are quite welcome, as are experienced ones.
