At a recent talk at CDC, Carlos Dominguez, Senior Vice President at Cisco Systems, discussed the role of social media in our lives. While he didn’t embrace it unequivocally, he did note, emphatically, that it’s here to stay and having a monumental impact on the way we live and do business. He encourages everyone to have at least a general understanding of the social media landscape. To do this, he selects one medium to learn each month. He may discard it when the month is out, but he’ll do so knowing what it has to offer (or not). At this social, we’ll learn about the various media we might consider trying out.
But mostly, we’ll practice on the original social media—face-to-face conversation!
