Have you ever asked yourself, should I buy Organic or local? What does Free Range mean? What about GMOs? As eaters, we make decisions every day that affect not only our local food system, but also have implications around the globe. Join Lauren Reef for a Walk and Talk where she will be answering questions as well as sharing her experiences in the local food movement in Atlanta and in Latin America while we explore the Farmer’s Market!
Lauren Reef is a recent graduate of Emory’s Master’s in Development Practice program where she earned concentrations in Food Security and Monitoring and Evaluation. She has worked in food systems locally and internationally, ranging from Wylde Center and Wholesome Wave Georgia, to Heifer International in Bolivia.
The event is free for AaEA members and non-members.
